In July 2021 the Springfield Downtown Kiwanis Club hosted 60 children from the Great Springfield Boys and Girls Clubs. During the event, kids, many of whom have never caught or hit a baseball, were given the opportunity to run simple drills, play catch, hit balls into the outfield, and play a game.
Following their fun on the field, everyone was treated to lunch and ice cream.
