Delaware Christmas Party

As the holiday season unfolded, our charity embarked on a mission to spread joy and warmth to the local community, with a particular focus on the children of Delaware School. The culmination of our efforts was a resounding success—an unforgettable Christmas party that brought smiles to the faces of these young souls. The event was a testament to the power of community, compassion, and collective goodwill.

In the spirit of giving and community support, we are thrilled to share a heartwarming update on the recent collaboration between our club and the Nick Hostler Foundation. Thanks to their generous contribution, we were able to present a check to Delaware School, enabling us to purchase gifts for their special needs students for our annual Christmas party. Further amplifying the spirit of giving, the “Bomb Squad” networking group in Springfield has also stepped up to support our cause. In a heartening gesture, they presented a generous check of $3500 to the Downtown Springfield Kiwanis Club. This substantial contribution will undoubtedly go a long way in supporting our efforts to bring joy and happiness to children in need during the holiday season. With the combined support of the Nick Hostler Foundation and the “Bomb Squad” networking group, our club is gearing up for an extraordinary Christmas party at Delaware School. The funds received will be used to purchase gifts tailored to the unique needs of special needs students, ensuring that each child experiences the magic of the season.

The Kiwanis Club of Downtown Springfield was chartered in 1920.  We offer networking, fellowship, service opportunities, fundraising events, weekly programs–but most importantly, the opportunity to make better the lives of the children in our community.

The Kiwanis Club of Downtown Springfield is in Division 13 of the Missouri-Arkansas District of Kiwanis International.
